Enoch Elijah Swett, 68, of Princeton, TX, passed away on January 4, 2020, with family and friends at his bedside. He was the world’s most beloved quadriplegic imaginable. He had been a quadriplegic for 35 years and would brighten any place with his presence. He was born August 18, 1951, in Kalkaska, Michigan, to the parents of Robert and Amelia Swett and passed away while at the McKinney City Health Center in McKinney, TX. He is survived by 2 brothers Samuel Swett (wife Julie) from Knoxville, TN and Tim Swett (wife Annie) from Riverside, CA ,one sister Mary Miner from Princeton, TX, 2 sons Robert Avila from Mississippi, Noah Swett from Princeton, TX, 3 grandchildren from Oregon, one uncle, 2 aunts, several nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins. Enoch was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Swett and Amelia Fritz, and 2 brothers, Phillip Swett and James Parkey. On Saturday, January 18, 2020, at 2:30 pm, there will be a funeral service at the Glenwood Seventh Day Adventist Church, 51089 Glenwood Rd, Dowagiac, MI 49047, corner of Dewy Lake Street and Glenwood Road. Visitation will be held at the Clark Chapel, 405 Center Street, Dowagiac, MI, on Friday, January 17, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Many years ago, Dowagiac was his home. He had a special place in his heart for friends and family from this area. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Glenwood Seventh Day Adventist Church, designated for the fellowship room improvements. Interment will be at the Leelanau Township Cemetery in Northport, Michigan in the spring. Those wishing to leave a condolence online may do so at www.clarkch.com.
