Robert R. “Bob” Miller, 90, of Decatur, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at his home. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will take place on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 1 PM at Newell Chapel, 83313 M51, Decatur, MI, with Pastor James Abshagen officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.newellchapel.com. Bob was born on December 12, 1929, in Chicago, IL, to Joseph & Teresa Miller. In 1948, he proudly served our country during the Korean War by enlisting in the United States Army until 1951. On July 24, 1954, Bob married the love of his life, Clara Reits, in Decatur. They were happily married for nearly 64 years until her passing in 2018. Bob had a passion for cars, especially tinkering with them and learning how everything works. He also enjoyed ice fishing, and visiting with family and friends. However, what he loved the most was his grandchildren and pets. Bob was an incredible and caring man who always would give his opinion, even when no one asked for it. He will be missed by all who knew him. Bob is survived by his four sons, Scott (Robin), Robb (Rhonda) Garry (Cheryl) and Bruce (Pamela): and grandchildren, Jamie (Josh) Glowski, Adam (Samantha) Miller, Mitch (Jordon) Miller, Lindsey (Josh) Ciesiolka, Brock Miller, Korie Miller, Keith Salmon and Megan Miller; and two great-grandchildren, Eve and Beau. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Clara; and brother, Joseph Miller.
