Jose Jack Gutierrez

Jose J. “Joe” Gutierrez, 45, of Dowagiac, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 16, 2020, at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St. Dowagiac. Friends may visit with the family Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Joe was born November 3, 1974, in Bartow, Florida, to Filiberto and Emma (Ureste) Gutierrez. He was known as a hard worker and enjoyed being outside working. Joe was known as a kind person who got along with everyone, and everyone knew him. He enjoyed sports and he was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Most of all, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren who meant the world to him. Joe is survived by his children, Jose C. Gutierrez, Ruben Gutierrez and Filiberto Gutierrez; grandchildren, Jeremiah Gutierrez, Anaylah Gutierrez, Elliana Gutierrez, Avelina Contreras and Adelynn Gutierrez; siblings, Jessica (Manuel) Lopez, Louis Gutierrez, Lucas Gutierrez, Victoria Moralles, Gilbert (Christina) Gutierrez and Christina (Jose) Lara; wife, Elizabeth Gutierrez and numerous nieces and nephews.
