Robert K. Biek

Robert K. Biek, 86, of Westland, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019. He was born December 4, 1933 in Dowagiac to Elmer and Naomi (Dewey) Biek. The family will receive guests from 9am until time of funeral Mass at 10am, with a rosary service beginning at 9:30am, Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Holy Maternity of Mary Catholic Church, 210 N. Front St., Dowagiac. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Dowagiac. Arrangements have been entrusted to Clark Chapel, Dowagiac. After high school, he worked for Franklin & Sons Salvage, earning money for college. He worked for Fred Neumann Oil (formerly Sinclair Oil) prior to attending Western Michigan University. In 1961, he began working as a CPA in Detroit and retired after 35 years as an auditor for the US government. Robert sang in the St. Clemens choir in Dearborn and also at St. Florian’s church. Robert will be missed by his siblings, June (Ron) Wenzel, Leland (the late Diane) Biek, and Ann M. Biek; his nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and his extended family, including his Vietnamese nephews, niece, great-nephews and grand- nieces. He is preceded in death by his wife, Thanh Biek; his brothers, Carl Biek, and Donald Biek; and his parents.
