Kelly Brooks

Kelly M. Brooks, 54, of Dowagiac, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Ascension Borgess Hospital, in Kalamazoo. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at Holy Maternity Catholic Church., 210 N. Front St, Dowagiac, with Father Russell Homic officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Burial will follow and Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family, in care of Robyn Skorupa. Those wishing to leave a condolence online may do so at www.clarkch.com. Kelly was born July 6, 1965, to Charles and Darrell (Handy) Brooks in Niles. She graduated from Dowagiac High School in 1983. Kelly was known to be very adventurous and determined, she never let her illness keep her from doing anything that she wanted to do. She loved to cook, being outside and could often be found watching cartoons. Kelly loved her family, especially her granddaughters. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Kelly is survived by her mother, Darrell Brooks; daughter, Robyn (Corey) Skorupa; grandchildren, Chyanne and Miriam Skorupa; siblings, Casie (Mark) Smith, Toby (Tammy) Brooks and Carie (Rob) Richcreek; and a barrage of nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Brooks.
