Mark Emmons

Mark E. Emmons, 60, of Dowagiac, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Mark was born February 14, 1959, in Dowagiac to Delmer K and Margaret S. (Guy) Emmons. He graduated from Dowagiac High School in 1977. Mark was known as a hard worker and would give the shirt off of his back to anyone, he was a telephone linesman for over 30 years before his retirement. He enjoyed hanging drywall and woodworking. Mark was an avid NASCAR and drag racing fan, he was a sports fanatic and enjoyed playing golf with his Dad. Most of all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren and his dog Hooch. Mark is survived by his mother, Margaret Emmons; brother, Chris (Nancy) Emmons; daughter, Melissa (Andy) Grau; grandchildren, Shelby and Drew Grau; niece, Brianne (Dakota) Okay; nephews, Chase Krueger, Cody (Amanda) Krueger and Rod Crawford; and his special dog, Hooch. He was preceded in death by his father, Delmer Emmons.
