Edith Louise Elmore

Edith Louise Elmore, 79, formerly of Decatur now of Paw Paw, MI, passed away on Wednesday-Oct. 30, 2019. Arrangements have been entrusted to Newell Chapel of Decatur. Edith was born on Oct. 4, 1940 in Cherry Valley, Arkansas to the late George and Delia (Barrett). She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to cook, crochet, sew, knit and most recently go camping. Edith had a strong faith and was a former member of the Living Waters Church in Paw Paw. She is survived by her five children – Terry (Karen) Elmore of White Pigeon, MI, Ed (Teresa) Elmore of Albion, IN, Ralph Elmore of Paw Paw, MI, Brenda (Mike) Shew of Constantine, MI and Delonia (Tony) Parker of Paw Paw, MI; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Edith is preceded in death by three sisters and a grandchild. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday-Nov. 5, 2:00pm, at the Newell Chapel, 83313 M51, Decatur, MI, with Pastor Mike Heflin officiating. Visitation precedes the service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home. Edith will be cremated and her final resting place will be at Harrison Cemetery in Decatur.
