Mary M. Myers, 73, of Dowagiac, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019, at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 19, 2019, Holy Maternity of Mary Catholic Church, 210 N. Front St., Dowagiac, with Father Russell Homic officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Maternity Catholic Church. Those wishing to leave a condolence online may do so at www.clarkch.com.
Mary was born August 24, 1946, to William and Julia (Caruso) Rutherford in Dowagiac. She graduated from Dowagiac High School in 1964. On December 26, 1985, she married the late Robert Myers in Dowagiac. She owned and operated Caruso’s restaurant and candy store for over 40 years. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, and will be missed by all who knew her.
Mary is survived by her children, Robert Myers, Steve Myers and Mark Myers; grandchildren, Brooke Smith, Melanie Maui, Gavin Tinkey and Renee Gibson; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Rutherford and William Rutherford. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert Myers.
