Jennings Dean Davis, 85, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 in Tavares, Florida.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, September 20, 2019, at 10:00 AM, at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St., Dowagiac with pastor Nathan Wilder officiating. Burial will follow and South Wayne Cemetery in Dowagiac. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, September 19, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flower, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Cornerstone Hospice House in Tavares, Florida. Jennings was born November 27, 1933, in Walnut Ridge Arkansas, to James and Willie (Martin) Davis. On December 22, 1951, he married Thelma A. Deuel in Dowagiac, she preceded him in death on June 6, 1993. On January 3, 2001, he married Marion Walk. Jennings worked as a lineman for the City of Dowagiac for over 20 years before moving to Leesburg, Florida where he worked as lineman for the City of Leesburg for over 25 years before his retirement.
Jennings is survived by his wife, Marion Davis; daughters; Deborah (Robert) Karles, Diana (Jack) Bower and Sue Pool (Thomas Zablocki); stepson Michael Walk, grandchildren; Jennings (Carrie) Brosnan, Erin (Johnnie) Adams, Lindsay (Canyon) Hass, McKenzie (Matt) Bronsink, Eric (Amy) Bower and Christopher (Victoria) Bower; fifteen, great-grandchildren; Sister Vickie (Clifford) Brewer; many nieces and nephews.
