Richard Scott English

Richard Scott “Rick” English, 51, of New Buffalo, MI passed away on Weds. June 26, 2019. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel – 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI. Rick was born on Dec. 3, 1967 in Bellflower, CA to Richard Alan and Mary Elizabeth “Pat” (Conlin) English. On Jan. 28, 1995 in LaPorte, IN he married Kari Ann Biggerstaff. Rick received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Purdue University and was a sales engineer with NY Blower in LaPorte, IN. He was an artisan, craftsman, and very creative; he enjoyed the outdoors - especially camping, kayaking, and snowmobiling; but most of all he loved his family – his wife and children and his canine companion Audrey. Rick is survived by his wife Kari; children – Kamren English of Michigan City, IN and Riley English of New Buffalo, MI; his mother – Pat English of New Buffalo; sister – Kristina (Paul) Smith of Ft. Wayne, IN; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father – Richard Alan English in 1995. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Sat. June 29, from 12:00pm-2:00pm at Sommerfeld Chapel in New Buffalo. A Celebration of Rick’s Life is at 2:00pm at the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Pickens officiating.
