Rocky Carl William Scott Stoner, 19, of Marcellus, MI passed away on Thursday – May 23, 2019. Arrangements have been entrusted to Clark Chapel – 405 Center St., Dowagiac, MI.
Rocky was born on January 5, 2000 in Kalamazoo, MI to Steven and Tracy (Kimble) Stoner. He was a 2018raduate of Marcellus High School. Rocky was a farmhand at Sparks Cedarlee Farms in Cassopolis. He loved people, sports-especially the Michigan Wolverines, and working on the farms brand new tractor. His goal was to become a youth pastor, and was recently accepted into the police academy where he would hope to become a police chaplain. Rocky was loved by his family and many friends and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his mother – Tracy Reeves and step-father – Mickey Reeves; his father – Steven Stoner; his siblings – Zacharia (Jenna) Stoner of Reno, Nevada, Steven (Jessica) Schultz of Lawton, MI, Layken (Coty) Marcoux of Tuscaloosa, AL, Michael Reeves of Dowagiac, MI, Alek Terry of Paw Paw, MI, Jared Terry of Paw Paw, MI, Maddyson O’Connor of Marcellus, MI and Sean Kimble of Marcellus, MI; also many other extended family – Carl and Rosetta Stoner, Donald and Barbara Myers, Greg and Margaret O’Connor, Tim and Rhonda Bishop, Jessica and Lucas Bishop and family Mackenzie, Landen, Hollis, Halie, Britany, Clowie, Breanna, BB, Harlow, Holly and Olivia, Lacie and Adam Deer and family Caylee, Braylon, Anderson, Adam and Carlyn, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Preceding Rocky in death are grandparents – Nanny Judy Kaser, William Kimble and Sean O’Connor.
A Celebration of Rocky’s Life will be held on Friday – May 31, 11:00am at the Volinia Baptist Church – 19526 Marcellus Hwy, Decatur, MI, with Pastor Thomas Stout officiating. Visitation with the family is on Thursday – May 30 from 5:00-8:00pm at Clark Chapel in Dowagiac. Memorial contributions may be made to the Volinia Baptist church.
