Larry Thomas Stambeck

Larry Thomas Stambeck, 63, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2019. Larry was born on September 14, 1955, in Paw Paw, MI, the son of Thomas and Donna (Goble) Stambeck. He graduated from Decatur High School in 1974. He was a dedicated employee at Klett Construction for over 30 years before deciding to commit all his time and energy to the family farm. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He is survived by his son, Larry Stambeck, Jr., and daughter, Courtney Stambeck, both of Paw Paw; parents Thomas and Donna Stambeck of Decatur; sister Gayle (Edward) Dow of Schoolcraft and Cathy (Craig) Ericksen of Paw Paw; nieces and nephews Jamie Warkentien, Sarah Warkentien Roehl, Kendall Dow, and Tyler Dow; and special life-long friend, Steve Cerven. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, May 1, at 11 am, at Newell Chapel, 83313 M-51, Decatur with Very Rev. Robert Creagan officiating. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, April 30, from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Post 6248/Ladies VFW Auxiliary of Decatur, the Van Buren Tech FFA or the West Michigan Cancer Center.
