Joshua Charles “Josh” Townsend, 42, of Dowagiac, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2019, in Bloomington, IN. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, April 29, 2019, at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St., with Rev. Diane Pike officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Dowagiac. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 12:00 PM until the time of service. Memorial contributions in Josh’s name may be made to Bethany Christian Services-Foster Care Program. Those wishing to share a memory of Josh online may do so at www.clarkch.com. Josh was born on September 21, 1976, to Robert Guntle, Jr. and Trelese “Connie” Townsend in Niles. He was a fun-loving guy who loved to celebrate everything. One of his favorite things do was host barbeques. Josh was known as a “jack of all trades’ and would help anyone who needed it. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and camping, but most of all he loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Josh is survived by his parents; siblings, Michelle, Adam, Rusty, Justin, Janet, Robert, Pete and Joe; grandmother, Jan Droulliard; grandfather, Robert Guntle, Sr.; step-mother, Elaine Starrett, several aunts & uncles and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
