Joy's Obituary
Joy P. Morris, 76, of Decatur, passed away, Monday, February 18, 2019, at her home in Florida surrounded by her family.
A celebration of life service will be held graveside at 1:00PM on Monday, February 25, 2019, at Hamilton Township Cemetery in Decatur. Memorial contributions in Joy’s name may be made to the First Church of God. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.newellchapel.com.
Joy was born May 29, 1942, to Lorne Hester and Bernice (Abanathy) Moore in Rector, Arkansas. On July 30, 1959 she married the love of her life, Jack Morris in Saugatuck, Michigan. She kept a busy schedule caring for her home and her son. Joy enjoyed camping, traveling and collecting Precious Moments figurines. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Joy is survived by her loving husband Jack; son Scott (Tessa) Morris; grandchildren Ashley Morris and Jamie (Chris) Haller and great-grandson Christopher James Haller.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Latreeca Morris; three brothers and one sister.
