Beverly Sullivan Beverly Lynn Sullivan, 61, of New Buffalo, MI, formerly of Chicago, IL, died at LaPorte Hospital, Saturday, May 2, 2009. Arrangements have been entrusted with Sommerfeld-Smith Family Funeral Home of New Buffalo. Beverly was born May 9, 1947 in Evergreen Park, IL to Bert and Mary (Harrington) Jacobs. She moved to the New Buffalo area from Chicago in 1994. Beverly truly loved New Buffalo and its people. She was very active in town. Beverly was the owner and operator of the Clipper Ship Gallery. She was a member of the New Buffalo Planning Commission, and a Board member of the New Buffalo Business Association. She will be missed by many. Beverly is survived by her son, Paul Sullivan of New Buffalo; her fiancée of many years, Burt Fry; a brother, Bert (Cathy) Jacobs of Western Springs, IL; and a sister, Joan (Jim) Ramp of LaGrange, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents-Bert and Mary, and her husband-Gary Paul Sullivan in 1986. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, May 8, 1:00pm, at the Sommerfeld-Smith Family Funeral Home in New Buffalo. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, New Buffalo. Visitation is on Thursday from 3:00-9:00pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Berrien County Cancer Service.
