Joseph Peter Oslakovic

Joseph Peter Oslakovic, 67, of New Buffalo died Thursday, December 10 at St. Anthony Memorial Health Center in Michigan City, IN. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel, New Buffalo. He was born to the late Joseph and Ann (Petraski) Oslakovic on May 8, 1942 in Chicago, IL. On April 2, 1988 he married Jocelyne Gewitch who survives. Also surviving are children, Jay (Barbie) Oslakovic of MO, Charles Oslakovic of WA, John (Jean) Tuszynski of Bridgman, Mark Tuszynski of Three Oaks, Sheryl Brower of New Buffalo, Ronald (Kathy) Tuszynski of Phoenix, AZ; and thirteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson.Joseph and his family were the owners and operators of a concrete lawn ornament business located on Red Arrow Highway in Harbert, MI. He retired in 2002 from Sprague Devices of Michigan City after 18 years where he was a truck driver.The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of the Lake Church in New Buffalo with Fr. James Morris officiating. Time to call on the family for visitation will be Sunday, December 13, 2009 from 2-6 pm, with a Scripture Service at 6pm, at the Sommerfeld Chapel, New Buffalo. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in New Buffalo. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
