Anna's Obituary

Anne Pappas, 80, of New Buffalo, died on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Lakeland Continuing Care Center in St. Joseph, MI. Arrangements have been entrusted with Sommerfeld Chapel of New Buffalo, MI.Anne was born on February 15, 1929 in Chicago to George and Mary (Korbakis) Jovanes. On November 2, 1952 in Chicago she married James Pappas who preceded her in death in 1981. Anne is survived by her daughter Roxann Huebl of St. Joseph; a grandchild Nichelle; a brother John (Melva) Jovanes of Crestwood, IL; a sister-in-law Marti Jovanes of Joliet, IL; a son-in-law Larry Huebl; and a daughter-in-law Diane Pappas. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son-George (2000); a granddaughter-Stephanie, and a brother-Nicholas.A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 26, 12 noon, at the Annunciation and Agia Paraskevi Greek Orthodox Church in New Buffalo. Visitation will precede the service from 11:00-12 noon at the church. Anne's final resting place will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in New Buffalo. Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G.
