Lillian (Kottsick) Baker, 95, of Carmel, IN, formerly of New Buffalo, MI, departed this life and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 7, 2010. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Sommerfeld Chapel of New Buffalo.A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, May 10, 2:00pm, at Bible Baptist Church, New Buffalo, with Rev. James Bouslog and Dr. Bob Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, New Buffalo. Visitation is also on Monday at the church from 12:00-2:00pm. www.sommerfeldchapel.com Lillian was born April 6, 1915 in Mandan, North Dakota to Frank and Emma (Beba) Kottsick. She was married on September 28, 1940 in New Buffalo to Kenneth L. Baker who preceded her in death in 2004. The Bakers were founding members of Bible Baptist Church which began in their home. Memorial contributions may be made to Bible Baptist Church.Survivors include two daughters, Sally Arlene (Ted) Robertson of Carmel, IN, and Lynette Kay Baker of Greenville, SC; three grandchildren, Mark and Cathy Robertson of Greenville, SC, Andrea and Jonathan Taylor of Chicago, IL and Karyn and Matthew Bush of Columbus, OH; seven great grandchildren, Katie and Megan Robertson, Anna, Kenneth and Michael Taylor, and Isaac and Luke Bush; one sister, Emma Ransom of Stevens Point, WI; many nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and two sisters.
