Christine Ann Liskovec

Christine Ann Liskovec, 62, of New Buffalo, died in her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, July 9, 2010, after a 3 year valiant fight with cancer. Arrangements have been entrusted with Sommerfeld Chapel of New Buffalo, MI.Christine was born February 7, 1948 in Chicago, IL to George and Jean (Grzyb) Wilczenski. On September 28, 1974, in Chicago, she married Vincent Frank Liskovec. They moved to New Buffalo in 1979. Christine was a member of St. Mary of the Lake Church. She loved to travel, garden, and her six cats, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.Christine is survived by her husband-Vincent; her daughter-Janessa of Michigan City, IN; and her step-sister-Eva Wilczenski of Lindenhurst, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents-George and Jean Wilczenski, and a brother-Thomas Wilczenski.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 14, 11:00am, at St. Mary of the Lake Church, with Father Craig Lusk officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, New Buffalo. Visiting hours with the family are on Tuesday, from 3:00-9:00pm at the Sommerfeld Chapel of New Buffalo, MI. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary of the Lake Church Building Fund.
