Carol Margaret Lawson

Carol M. Lawson, 62, of New Buffalo, died at LaPorte Hospital on Monday, July 12, 2010. Arrangements have been entrusted with Sommerfeld Chapel of New Buffalo, MI.Carol was born November 28, 1947 in Chicago, IL to Kenneth and Florence (Gavinski) Newberg. On September 1, 1969 in Bridgman, MI she married A. Ray Lawson. Carol was currently employed with the New Buffalo area schools as a custodian. She loved the city of New Buffalo, the beach, gardening, bingo and going to the casino with her sisters. Christmas was her favorite time of the year. She will be greatly missed.Carol is survived by her husband-Ray; her daughter-Cherri' Ann Lawson-Brewster of New Troy, MI; her son-Jeremy Ray (Bobbie) Lawson of New Buffalo; her mother Florence Newberg; brothers-John(Devinie)Wysocki and Mark(Julie)Wysocki both of New Buffalo; sisters-Joyce(Tom)Swenson of Brazil, IN, Diana(Jerry)Styburski of New Troy, Christine(Bill)Kuiper of New Troy, Martha(Mike)Price of New Buffalo, Mary Ann Wysocki of New Buffalo, Kathy(Brian)Sexton of New Buffalo, and Threasa(Don)Koeller of Three Oaks; grandchildren-Desirae Dawn Brewster of New Troy and Brayden Ray Lawson of New Buffalo; and a brother-in-law-Don Blazek. She is preceded in death by her father-Kenneth and her step-father Steve Wysocki.A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, July 16, 10:30 am,At the Sommerfeld Chapel in New Buffalo, with Chaplain Henry Boulley officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, New Buffalo. Visitation with the family will be Thursday at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lawson family.
