Calvin Edward Trock, 78, of New Buffalo, died at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Michigan City, IN on Thursday, June 2, 2011. Arrangements have been entrusted with Sommerfeld Chapel of New Buffalo, MI.Calvin was born September 16, 1932 in Chicago to Victor and Anna May (Connors) Trock. On June 25, 1955 in Chicago he married Caroline Theresa Steiner. Before his retirement, Calvin was the former owner and operator of Chicago Magnesium Casting Company in Blue Island, IL. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 44 in Chicago Southwest; a member of the Elks of Michigan City; an active member and former Commodore of the New Buffalo Yacht Club; and a member of the Harbor Commission Board. Calvin is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Caroline; his children, Calvin (Jackie) Trock of Orland Park, IL, Dan (Debbie) Trock of Frankfort, IL, Bobby Trock of Orland Park, IL and Laura (Bob) Serksnas of Lockport, IL; four grandchildren, Patti, Corina, Mike and Bryan; and a sister, Joan Brown of Sarasota, FL. He is preceded in death by his parents-Victor and Anna May Trock, brothers-Victor and Robert, and a sister-Delores. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, June 6, 11:00 AM, at the Sommerfeld Chapel of New Buffalo, with Father Craig Lusk officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in New Buffalo. Visitation will take place at Sommerfeld Chapel on Sunday from 2:00-7:00 PM. Friends wishing to leave a message of condolence may do so at
