Donald J. Lueth, 84, of Stevensville, Michigan, formerly of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away, Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph.Memorial Services celebrating his life will be held 4:00 P.M. (Michigan Time) Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Sommerfeld Chapel, 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, with Rev. Greg Prather officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Private burial will follow Monday at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Mishawaka. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice at Home, 4025 Health Park Lane, St. Joseph, MI 49085. He graduated from Elston High School in 1947. On October 14, 1950, he married the former Delores Mae Benton in Michigan City. Don served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was employed by Indiana Bell Telephone Co., retiring in August 1987 after forty years of employment. Don attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Michigan City and First Church of God in St. Joseph. He was also a member of the Moose, Elks, VFW, Masons & Shriners in Michigan City, and the South Bend Scottish Rite. In his free time, Don enjoyed playing cards, golfing & bowling. Don is survived by his children-Larry (Linda) Lueth of Portage, MI, Lory (Mike) Kelly of Lakeville, IN, Randy (Gail) Lueth of St. Joseph, MI; nine grandchildren-Brian (Alexandria) Lueth, Brad Lueth, Gwen (Jeff) Beem, Donald (Lupita) Kelly, Michael (Semi) Kelly, Lori Kelly, Angie (Aaron) Youngstedt, Julie (Mark) Dail, Carl Lueth; thirteen great-grandchildren; a sister Jeannette Degner of LaPorte, IN; and numerous nieces & nephews. Don was preceded in death by his first wife Delores on October 31, 1982, his second wife Delores Olvaney Lueth whom he married in 1983, his third wife Marian Smith Lueth whom he married in 1999, and his siblings-Carl, Wallace & Wilbur Lueth, Dorothy Fischer, & William & Kenneth Lueth.
