Nancy Lee Kurz, 70, of New Buffalo, died on Sat., July 14, 2012, surrounded by her family at her residence in New Buffalo. Arrangements have been entrusted with Sommerfeld Chapel of New Buffalo.Nancy was born on August 14, 1941 in Michigan City, IN to Dorcie and Marie (Gross) Bentley. On November 10, 1962 she married David Allen Kurz – he preceded her in death on July 12, 2011. Nancy was an avid bingo player, loved to bowl, enjoyed the casino, and was a member of the LaPorte Aero Club.Nancy is survived by daughter Sandra “Sam” (James) Kriner of New Buffalo; three grandchildren, Dustin, Kellie and Katie; five great grandchildren, Hailey, Amber, Cole, Chase and Emma; two sisters, Sally Buchman of Tonto Basin, AZ and Charlene Swanson of Westville, IN; three brothers, John (Brenda) Bentley of Eaton, OH, Lee (Dorothy) Bentley of Westville, IN and Jack (Shirley Braddy) Bentley of Michigan City, IN; and a son-in-law Rob Reitz of New Buffalo. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a daughter Melissa.A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, July 18, at Sommerfeld Chapel, 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, New Buffalo. Visitation is on Tues., July 17, from 5:00-8:00PM, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made for the care of the grandson Dustin Springer C/O his father Rob Reitz.
