Arnold's Obituary
Arnold Edward Powell, 80, of Three Oaks, died at home on Monday, January 14, 2013. Private services will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted with Sommerfeld Chapel of New Buffalo.Arnold was born on March 11, 1932 in Chicago, IL to Marshall and Beulah (Littrell) Powell. He served his country while in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Arnold was a member of the New Buffalo American Legion Post #169. On August 28, 1954 in Chicago he married Dolores Bergman; she preceded him in death in 1996. Arnold worked for 33 years at Modine Radiators in LaPorte before retiring in 1991. Arnold is survived by his daughter Dawn Lowery of Three Oaks and his son Dale (Jayne) Powell of LaPorte; three grandsons Jayson Powell, Jacob and Joshua Kunkel; sisters Bonnie Cohs, Geraldine Vaughn and Judy Gilliam; and a brother Raymond Powell. He is preceded in death by his parents-Marshall and Beulah, his wife Dolores, a daughter-Debbie, two brothers and a sister.
