Russ's Obituary
Russ Shelby Harris, 51, of Eau Claire, MI, passed away at LaPorte Hospital on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 after a brief illness. Arrangements have been entrusted with Sommerfeld Chapel of New Buffalo, MI.
Russ was born on May 18, 1962 in Des Moines, IA to Fred and Patty (Shepard) Harris. Russ was a master mechanic working for the past seven years at Roger’s Wrecker Service in New Buffalo. He loved watching old western’s, Monday Nite Football, and observing his hummingbirds that returned year after year. His beloved wife, children and extended family will miss him dearly.
Russ is survived by his wife-Candy; children-Angela of Hudson, MI, Katy of Stevensville, MI, Thomas of Eau Claire, MI and Jack of Benton Harbor, MI; five grandchildren; brothers-Dusty (Amber) Letz and David (Theresa) Letz both of Chariton, IA; and a sister-Terri Pritchett also of Chariton, IA. He is preceded in death by his parents-Fred and Patty Harris.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sat., Dec. 7, 12 noon, at the Sommerfeld Chapel, 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI. Visitation is on Friday from 5:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.
