Victoria's Obituary

Victoria Mary Hora, 85, of New Buffalo, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 23, 2013 at her home. Arrangements have been entrusted with Sommerfeld Chapel of New Buffalo, MI. Victoria was born in Santa Nicola, Italy on Sept. 21, 1928 to Phillip and Felicia (Marchese) Galloro. She came to America at the age of 7, settleing with her parents in New Buffalo. On Feb. 5, 1966 she married Otto Joseph Hora, II. Victoria had worked for Bell Telephone Co. as an operator and manager; then for Dr. Reck as a dental receptionist; and also as a real estate agent for Kerhoulas Ins. Agency. Victoria is survived by her loving husband Otto; her sister-in-law Linda Galloro of New Buffalo; nieces-Felicia, Maria, and Anna; nephews-Phillip, Louie, Tony and Brent; and many grandnieces and grandnephews all of whom she adored. She was preceded in death by two brothers-Vito & Joseph Galloro. She was a loving and caring wife for over 47 years, and will be greatly missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mary of the Lake Church in New Buffalo on Monday, Dec. 30, 11:00am, with Father Craig Lusk officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in New Buffalo. Visitation is on Sunday, Dec. 29 from 2:00-5:00pm, at Sommerfeld Chapel in New Buffalo.
