William's Obituary
William ‘Bill’ Hudson, 61, of LaPorte, IN formerly of New Buffalo, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 9, 2014 in Burns Harbor, IN. Arrangements have been entrusted with Sommerfeld Chapel of New Buffalo, MI.
Bill was born on April 5, 1952 in Michigan City, IN to the late Donald and Minnie (Hahn) Hudson. On May 29, 1993 in New Buffalo he married Susan Semenic. Bill was a heavy equipment operator for Tranco Industries. He was a member of New Creation Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church in Michigan City; a member of I.U.O.E. local #150; an avid fisherman and hunter; and a devoted Detroit Lion and Detroit Tiger fan. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Worthy Women Recovery Home-P.O. Box 116, LaPorte, IN 46350 or the Karl Hinkel Ministries-653 Ironwood Dr., Carmel, IN 46033 or to Mrs. Santa Christmas Giveaway-30 State Rd., Newaygo, MI 49337.
Bill is survived by his wife Susan; five sons-Todd (Dottina) Hudson of LaPorte, IN, Bryan (Mandy) Hudson of Broomfield, CO, Tyler Hudson of MI, Ross (Wendy) Price of Hudsonville, MI, and Ryan (Ashly) Price of Myakka City, FL; nine grandchildren; and two sisters-Linda (Dave) Kaminski of Three Oaks, MI and Bonnie Keefer of New Buffalo.
A Celebration of Life service will take place at the New Creation Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church-9009 Pahs Rd., Michigan City, IN, with Pastor Mark VanMeter officiating, on Monday, January 13, 10:00 A.M. (CST). Visitation is also at the church on Sunday, January 12, from 4:00-7:00 P.M. (CST). Friends wishing to leave the family a message of condolence may do so at www.sommerfeldchapel.com
