Dana L. Voyta

Dana (Carlson) Voyta, 53, of Union Pier, MI passed away in her home on Saturday, March 29, 2014. Arrangements have been entrusted with Sommerfeld Chapel of New Buffalo, MI.   Dana was born on March 20, 1961 in Michigan City, IN to Gordon and Rosetta (Cummings) Carlson. She was a graduate of New Buffalo High School in 1978. On May 22, 1993 in New Buffalo she married Russell Steven Voyta. Due to her love of animals, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Michiana Humane Society. Her parents-Gordon and Rosetta and a sister Candi Nieman preceded her in death.   A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 5, 4:00pm, at the Sommerfeld Chapel, 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI, with Rev. Brad Bartlemay officiating. Family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Saturday prior to the service from 12 noon-4:00pm at the funeral home.
