Debbie C. Otto, 49, of Three Oaks, MI, passed away on Sat., June 21, 2014 at the University of Chicago Hospital. Arrangements have been entrusted with Sommerfeld Chapel of New Buffalo, MI
Debbie was born on December 6, 1964 in Michigan City, IN to John and Patricia (Skeldon) Otto. She was a 1983 graduate of New Buffalo High School. Most recently Debbie had worked at Michigan Thyme as café manager. She loved the beach, gardening, grilling and cooking, and her special feline companions-Mercedes and Guiness.
Debbie is survived by her sons – Nicholas and Travis; her father and step-mother John and Julie (Jenuwine) Otto of White Cloud, MI; her Fiancee Scott Mignery of Three Oaks; sisters-Tammy (Joe) Cuellar of Round Lake Beach, IL and Roxanne Otto of LaPorte, IN; brothers-Victor (Cindy) Otto of Johnsburg, IL and Robert (Cheryl) Otto of Sumter, SC; five nieces and nephews; and three great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother-Patricia, and a brother-David Otto.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thurs., June 26, 11:00 AM, at Sommerfeld Chapel in New Buffalo, with Rev. Jonathan Riedel officiating of Newaygo CUCC, Newaygo, MI. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in New Buffalo. Visitation is on Weds., June 25, from 5:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
