Angelina Theresa Rizzo

Angelina Theresa Rizzo, 86, of New Buffalo passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014 at West Wood of Niles. Arrangements have been entrusted with Sommerfeld Chapel of New Buffalo, MI.   A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at St. Mary of the Lake Church, 718 West Buffalo Avenue, New Buffalo.  Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in New Buffalo.  Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday, July 30 at Sommerfeld Chapel, 15 N. Barton Street, New Buffalo.  Memorials may be made to St Mary of the Lake School, 704 W. Merchant St., New Buffalo, MI  49117.  Those wishing to share a memory of Angelina online may do so at www.sommerfeldchapel.com.   Angelina was born September 4, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois to Felix Paul & Theresa Marie (Folino) Stella.  She was owner and operator of the Petite Beauty Salon in New Buffalo for over 50 years.   Angelina is survived by her sons Arthur Rizzo of Detroit, MI and Joseph (Betty) Rizzo of Oceanside, CA; daughter Rose Marie Lafortune of New Buffalo, MI; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers Frank Stella of New Buffalo, MI, Robert (Sharon) Stella of Harbert, MI, Ronald (Georgia) Stella of Holland, MI; one sister Theresa (Paul) Hack of New Buffalo, MI; and best friends Robert & Betty Egly.  Angelina is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Arthur and Felix.
