David Edward Lubke, 68, of New Buffalo, MI passed away on Thurs. July 24, 2014 at LaPorte Hospital in LaPorte, IN. Arrangements have been entrusted with Sommerfeld Chapel in New Buffalo, MI.
David was born on Nov. 26, 1945 in Michigan City, IN to Norman and Mildred (Cibulka) Lubke. On July 10, 1965 he married Maureen Springer. David worked as a television technician at Gielow TV for many years. He was a ‘people person’; he loved helping people, he never complained, always joking around-good natured, and a perfectionist, “that’s just who he was and what he did”. His biggest love was for his family, especially his grandchildren.
David is survived by his loving wife Maureen; his two daughters-Wendy (Darryl) Smith of LaPorte, IN and Coreen (Kavan) Geary of Kalamazoo, MI; five grandchildren-Tobias and Nathan Smith, and Valen, Dax and Zaria Geary; and his sister-Judy (John) Lubke Fischbacher. He is preceded in death by his parents Norman and Mildred Lubke.
