Dean's Obituary
Dean Graham, 63, formerly of New Buffalo now of Michigan City, IN, passed away at the University of Chicago Hospital on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Arrangements have been entrusted with Sommerfeld Chapel in New Buffalo, MI.
Dean was born on December 28, 1950 in Norton, VA to Joseph and Nettie (Adkins) Graham. He was a 1970 graduate of New Buffalo High School. On Nov. 29, 1975 in New Buffalo he married Elaine Marie Simcox. Dean worked for the Indiana State Prison as a correctional officer and later as general manager of Pen Products for ISP.
Dean is survived by his wife Elaine; his children-James Graham of Harbert, MI, Joseph Graham of Michigan City, IN, and Autumn Graham of Michigan City, IN; three grandchildren-Brianna Bloomfield, Bryanna Cooper and Chloe Cooper; and a brother-Dennis Graham of Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents-Joseph and Nettie Graham.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, October 20, 1:00 PM (EST) at Sommerfeld Chapel, 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI, with Pastor Dan Flemming officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in New Buffalo. Visitation will precede the service on Monday from 12 noon till 1:00 PM (EST) at the funeral home.
