Frances's Obituary

Frances O. Heibel, 73, of New Buffalo, MI passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Michigan City. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Sommerfeld Chapel, 15 North Barton St., New Buffalo with Father Dan Hyman officiating. Friends may visit from 11:00 AM until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at Home. Those wishing to sign Frances guestbook may do so online at www.sommerfeldchapel.com. Frances was born March 20, 1941 in Croton, MI to Jack & Myrtle (Plank) Teasley. She graduated from Grand Haven. On February 15, 1958 she wed Michael E. Heibel in Grand Haven, MI. Frances kept a busy schedule caring for her home and her six children. She was a member of St. Mary’s of the Lake Catholic Church New Buffalo where she was on the Altar Society. Frances owned and operated Mikes Blueberry Farm in New Buffalo since 1985 and Ramberg’s Bakery in Union Pier since 2000. She loved working at the bakery, her late night shopping trips, and most of all spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 57 years Michael Heibel; children Terri Heibel of Muskegon, Becky (Jack) Jordon of Muskegon, Kim (Mike) Mund of Muskegon, Mickie Heibel of New Buffalo, Tim (Shelley) Heibel of Norton Shores and Deanna Williams of New Buffalo; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; siblings Howard (Barb) Teasley of Grand Haven, Doris (Chuck) Yahne of Grand Haven, Tini Teasley of Muskegon,  and Steward Teasley of New York; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and he siblings Jim Teasley, Barb Wolf and Leon Teasley.
