Anne M. Deadman

Anne (Jobaris) Deadman, 71, of New Buffalo, passed away at Franciscan Community Hospice in Michigan City, IN on Sat., November 15, 2014. Arrangements have been entrusted with Sommerfeld Chapel of New Buffalo.   Anne was born March 14, 1943 in Chicago, IL to Leonard and Ann (Yurachek) Jobaris. On April 25, 1970 she married Richard Deadman; he preceded her in death in 1998.  Anne  had been employed at Dwyer Instruments in Michigan City; thereafter she and her husband owned and operated DIX Construction until his time of death. She was affectionately known as “Cookie” by her family and friends. Anne is survived by her daughter Jennifer Deadman; grandchildren-Emma Rea Searing and Dillon Tyler Searing; a brother-Leonard (Patty) Jobaris of Surprise, AZ; and her ex son-in-law Jason Searing of LaPorte, IN.   A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2pm at Sommerfeld Chapel in New Buffalo. Family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service from 1pm until 2pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Deadman family.
