Cyndi Peterson

Cynthia D. Peterson, 41, of New Buffalo, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015. Arrangements have been entrusted with Sommerfeld Chapel in New Buffalo, MI.   Cyndi was born April 18, 1973 in Orange, CA to Paul and Peggy Molthen. On November 2, 2002 she married John Robert Peterson. Together they owned and operated Custom Marine Carpet in Niles, MI. Cyndi was the youngest of seven children. She was a sweet and loving wife and mother; she was dedicated and committed to her family; she was a wonderful sister; and was always there in emergencies or just to chat with. Cyndi had a cute sense of humor and a deep sense of compassion.   Cyndi is survived by her husband John and their two children-Madeline and Jon; her father-Paul; five sisters-Bridget Lodge, Therese Butler, Loretta Hurlbut, Mary Molthen and Margaret Meltreger; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother-Peggy and a brother-Paul.   A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, Feb. 13, 7:00 P.M. at the Sommerfeld Chapel, 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00-7:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Mary’s Kitchen, 517 W.
