Mary Lou Wolschlager, 69, of New Buffalo, passed away on Sat., Feb. 21, 2015 in Mishawaka, IN. Arrangements have been entrusted with Sommerfeld Chapel in New Buffalo, MI.
Mary was born July 3, 1945 in Walnut Ridge, AR to Robert and Vida (Rhodes) Jones. Mary was a graduate of New Buffalo High School in 1962. On July 14, 1963 in New Buffalo, MI she married Adolph Junior Wolschlager. She was a steel inspector at Bethlehem Steel and Middle Steel in Portage, IN for 31 years, retiring in 2008. Mary loved her family, especially her grandchildren who affectionately knew her as Granny Goose.
Mary is survived by her husband of over 51 years Adolph; her two children-Alan (Angela) Wolschlager of Irons, MI and Michelle (Michael) Anderson of Stevensville, MI; her four grandchildren-Travis, Amanda, Brittney and Micheal; two brothers-Jack (Kitty) Jones of New Troy, MI and Paul (Linda) Jones of Palm Springs, CA; and a sister-Sue Mayfield of New Buffalo, MI. She is preceded in death by her parents-Robert and Vida, sisters-Gladys Webb and Genevieve Clemons, and a bother-Bobby Jones.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 25, from 6:00-7:00pm at Sommerfeld Chapel, 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI. The visitation will conclude with a time of sharing memory’s at 7:00pm.
