Linda's Obituary
Linda Lee Galloro, 73, of New Buffalo, passed away at St. Anthony Hospital in Michigan City, IN on Mon., Feb. 9, 2015. Arrangements have been entrusted with Sommerfeld Chapel of New Buffalo, MI.
The family is receiving friends for a time of visitation on Thurs., Feb. 12, at Sommerfeld Chapel, 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, from 4:00 P.M. (EST) until 8:00 P.M. (EST) with a prayer service at 7:30 P.M. Service will be at 11:00 A.M. Feb. 13, at St. Mary of the Lake Church in New Buffalo with Father Dan Hyman officiating; burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in New Buffalo. Memorials may be made to St. Mary of the Lake School or Hemophilia Foundation of MI, 1921 W. Michigan Ave., Ypsilanti, MI 48197.
Linda was born in LaPorte, IN on Dec. 18, 1941 to Leo Paul Krueger and Ida Crist Krueger. She married Joseph Dominic Galloro on Nov. 23, 1958 in Crown Point, IN. He preceded her in death on March 9, 2010. Linda and Joseph were self-employed as owners / operators of the Wayside Inn, Union Pier, MI from 1970-1982. She also worked as a bookkeeper and enjoyed her part-time job at the Florist. Linda was a member of St. Mary of the Lake Church, enjoyed gardening, loved spending time with her grandchildren and was a dedicated caretaker.
Linda is survived by her three daughters-Felicia (Bob) Sulkowski of Michigan City, IN, Maria (John) Semenchuk of New Buffalo, MI, Anna (Mark) Shafto of Commerce, MI; son- Brent (Sherry) Galloro of New Buffalo, MI; grandchildren-Kristen, Nicholas, Joseph, Austin, Connor, Nicole and Sarah; a sister-Kathryn Long of Michigan City, IN, brother-Karl (Julie) Krueger of Ethan, SD; nieces- Laura and Jessica; nephews-Travis and Steve. Preceding her in death are her parents-Leo and Ida Krueger and her husband-Joseph.
