Thomas R Warren

Thomas R. Warren, Sr., 82, of New Buffalo, MI, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016 in Michigan City, IN. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel in New Buffalo, MI.   Thomas was born in Michigan City, IN on December 25, 1933 to the late David and Ruth (Will) Warren. On October 30, 1954 in Three Oaks, MI he married Rose Marie Gordon; she preceded him in death in July of 2015. Thomas was a union electrician and member of the IBEW #531 of LaPorte, IN for 62 years – 1954-2016. He was proud of the fact that he was the original installer of the NIPSCO tower lights in Michigan City.   Thomas is survived by his children – Dani (Mark) Moser of Snellville, GA, Amy (Jim) Coble of Michigan City, IN and Thomas (Jeri) Warren, Jr. of St. Johns, MI; grandchildren – Lance Prybylla, Tyler Prybylla, Rachel Rausch, Jacob (Jenny) Borglin, Jeremy (Lindy) Borglin, Allison (Ellis)Meyer, Dorothy Morris, David Morris, and Alexzander Morris; great-grandchildren – Elizabeth, Madisyn, Riley, Emma and Luke; and his faithful companion – Buffy. He is preceded in death by sisters – Joanne Butterfield and Judy French, and a brother – David Warren.   A Celebration of Life service will be held on Weds., March 9, 2:00pm, at Sommerfeld Chapel, 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI, with Rev. John Peterson officiating. Visitation will precede the service from 1:00-2:00pm at the funeral home.
