Lillian M. Pries

Lillian Pries, 76, of New Buffalo, MI passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at St. Anthony Hospital in Michigan City, IN. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel, 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI.   Lillian was born June 5, 1939 in Michigan City to Frank and Matilda (Woods) Nagel. She attended New Buffalo Schools and was also a full-time homemaker raising her four children.  Lillian enjoyed being an active member of the Water’s Edge United Methodist Church.   Lillian is survived by her children – Connie (Jim) Howard of Hays, NC, Pamela (Tom) Tanner of New Buffalo, MI and David Pries of New Buffalo, MI; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother – Gordon Nagel of Kalamazoo, MI and a son-in-law – Jeff Jahnke of Virginia. She is preceded in death by her parents – Frank and Matilda; a daughter – Robin Jahnke; a sister – Joyce and a brother – Conrad.   The Pries family will have a time of visitation for their mother on Monday, May 16 from 10:00 am (EST.) to 1:00 pm (EST.) at the Water’s Edge United Methodist Church. A celebration of life service will begin at 1:00 pm (EST.) with Pastor Brad Bartelway officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pries Family.
