Otto Joseph Hora

Otto Joseph Hora, II, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016 at Hamilton Grove Nursing Home in New Carlisle, IN. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel – 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI.   Otto was born on Sept. 21, 1922 in Cicero, IL to the late Otto Joseph and Mae Mary (Patrovsky) Hora. Otto served his country in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII. On Feb. 5, 1966 he married Victoria Mary Galloro in St. Petersburg, FL. She preceded him in death on Dec. 23, 2013. Otto was a teacher of 25 years, having taught in the Coloma, Three Oaks, Long Beach, IN and St. Joseph public schools, retiring in 1975.   Otto is survived by his nieces and nephews – Nadine Kramer of Plainfield, IL Brian Malecek of Kaneohe, HA, Steve Hora of New Carlisle, IN, Debbie Hora of New Carlisle, IN, Robert Simek of St. Petersburg, FL, and Sharon Simek of LaGuna Woods, CA. He is also preceded in death by two sisters – Adeline Malecek and Marion Simek, and a brother – Ronald Hora.   A Celebration of Life service will take place on Thursday, Sept. 15, 1:00P.M. (EST) at Sommerfeld Chapel in New Buffalo, MI.
