Rebekah's Obituary
Rebekah McCance, 75, of New Buffalo, MI, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Donna’s Elderly Care Centre in New Buffalo, MI. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Sommerfeld Chapel, 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI.
Rebekah was born in Charleston, SC on March 9, 1941. On October 17, 1956 in Charleston she married Forest Blaine McCance; he preceded her in death on November 22, 2016. Rebekah is survived by a son – Brendan of Niles, MI; grandchildren – Sabrina, Kyle, Ryan (Corina) and Tiffany; four great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Judy McCance of New Buffalo; a brother – Russell (Ivy) Patterson; and a sister – Elizabeth (Joe) Beaver. A son – Blaine McCance preceded her in death in 1997. Rebekah was an avid football fan, but most of all loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, December 9, 12pm at Sommerfeld Chapel in New Buffalo with Pastor Gene Pastrick officiating. Visitation precedes the service from 10:30am-12pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
