Elizabeth Siebenmark, 86, formerly of New Buffalo now of Berrien Springs, MI, passed away in her home on Friday, January 6, 2017. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel, 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI.
Elizabeth was born April 15, 1930 in Ferndale, MI to the late Thomas and Irene Hopgood. She served her country while in the U.S. Air Force. On May 17, 1952 she married Dale William Siebenmark; he preceded her in death on January 8, 2002. Elizabeth leaves four children – Steven (Sue) Siebenmark of Buchanan, MI, Thomas (Natalie) Siebenmark of Berrien Springs, MI, Scott (Lisa) Siebenmark of Bridgman, MI, and Lisa Tierney of New Buffalo, MI; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers – Brock Huffman and Dee Huffman both of San Antonio, TX; and a sister – Kay Ferguson of Aurora, CO. She is also preceded in death by her step-father Burdette Huffman and two brothers – Gar Huffman and Thomas Hopgood. Elizabeth retired in 2002 from the Indiana State Prison after 14 years as a Correctional Officer.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, 6:00P.M. at Sommerfeld Chapel in New Buffalo. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service from 5:00-6:00P.M. at the funeral home. Private family committal at Pine Grove Cemetery at a later date.
