Susan Marie DePriest

Susan Marie DePriest, 52, of Union Pier, MI passed away in her home on Wednesday, February 22, 2017. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel – 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI. Susan was born on July 24, 1964 in Michigan City, IN to Louis and Patricia (Rogers) Glossinger. She was a 1982 graduate of New Buffalo High School. Susan completed her associates degree at Lake Michigan College in secretarial work. On March 26, 1999 in St. Joseph, MI she married Frank DePriest; he preceded her in death on Aug. 14, 2010. She was currently working at the call center at the Four Winds Casino. Susan loved her spending time with her family and her pugs. Susan is survived by her sons – Jeremy Heiss and Doug Thacker; her mother – Patricia Glossinger of Union Pier; and brothers – Bruce (Pam) Glossinger of Union Pier and Tom (Gretchen) Glossinger of Mabane, NC. She is preceded in death by her father-Louis, her husband-Frank, and a son-Allan. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sat., Feb. 25, 12noon at Sommerfeld Chapel. Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Lakeside, MI. Visitation precedes the service from 10:00am-12noon at the funeral home.
