Ronald L Schroeder

Ronald L. Schroeder, Sr., 82, of New Buffalo, MI passed away in his home on Monday, March 27, 2017. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel, 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI. Ron was born on May 25, 1934 in New Buffalo to the late Harry and Leona (Hillman) Schroeder. He served his country while in the U.S. Army. On June 30, 1956 in New Buffalo he married Shirley Jeanne James; she preceded him in death on August 13, 2000. Ron worked for the Village of Grand Beach for 40 years retiring in 1999 as superintendent. He and his wife loved to go camping with there RV, and Ron loved Harley Davidson motorcycles. Ron is survived by his daughter – Kelly Kliss of New Buffalo; grandchildren – Courtney and Conner Kliss and Jeremy Schroeder; a great grandson – Nicholas Wolfe; brothers – Robert (Sue) Schroeder and David (Lynn) Schroeder; and sister – Pat (Bill) Cullison. He is preceded in death by two sons – Ronald Schroeder, Jr. and Jeffery Schroeder; and three brothers – Ray, Vernon and Jerry Schroeder. Private services will be held with final resting place at Pine Grove Cemetery in New Buffalo. Memorial contributions may be made to Caring Circle (Hospice At Home).
