Shirley Stone, 84, of New Buffalo, MI passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 at West Woods of Bridgman.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Sommerfeld Chapel, 15 North Barton St., New Buffalo with Pastor John Peterson officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in New Buffalo. Friends may visit from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M., Wednesday at the funeral home. Shirley was born September 28, 1932 in New Buffalo, MI to Lester & Kathryn (Braun) Walter Sr. On December 12, 1953 she married Jack Stone in Chesterton, IN. Shirley was a homemaker who kept a busy schedule caring for her family.
Shirley is survived by her children Susan (John) Braun of Bridgman, MI, Linda Stone of New Buffalo, MI and Charles (Felicia) Stone of Mishawaka, IN; grandchildren Carla Braun, Jennifer (Tyler) Wallace, Steven Stone, Sarah Martin and Cassandra Webb; great grandchildren Adan Reyna, James Martin and McKenzie Wallace; and Special Caregiver Vanessa Burt. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother Lester Walter Jr.
