Hassen's Obituary

Hassen Allie, 87, of New Buffalo, MI passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Carol’s Home in New Buffalo. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel, 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI. Hassen was born on February 23, 1930 in Michigan City, In to the late Frank and Zinab Allie. On September 7, 1957 he married Catherine Divita; she preceded him in death on March 4, 1994. Hassen was a bartender at various local restaurants, including Scotty’s, Theo’s Lanes and Hunan’s. He was well known for walking his beloved dogs all around New Buffalo. Hassen loved watching his great-grandson play sports, as well as being an avid Detroit and Michigan sports fan. He also loved to travel-especially to Las Vegas, and was a big Frank Sinatra fan. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Special thanks to the Scissom care takers at Carol’s Home. Hassen is survived by his daughter – Michelle Wolfe and his son – Frank (Lynn) Allie both of New Buffalo; granddaughter – Nicole Wolfe and great-grandson – Nicholas Wolfe; and a brother – Pete Allie of Dearborn, MI. He is preceded by his parents, his wife, brothers – Alexander and Sammi, and sisters – Mary, Judy, Alice, Margaret and Fatima. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at the Sommerfeld Chapel on Wednesday, November 29 from 5:00-8:00P.M. Graveside services will take place on Thursday, November 30, 10:30 A.M., at Pine Grove Cemetery in New Buffalo, MI with Father John Peter Ambrose.
