James Patrick Ready

James Patrick Ready, 69, of Grand Beach, MI passed away in his home surrounded by his family on Weds., Nov. 1, 2017. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel of New Buffalo, MI. James was born on June 12, 1948 in Evergreen Park, IL to the late John and Rosemary (Keenan) Ready. On October 31, 1970 he married Roberta Ann Clouston. His beloved wife Roberta survives as well as four loving children – Nina (Randall) Ready-Boerst of Dyer, IN, Danna Ready of Chicago, IL, James (Alice Papaleo) Ready of Gilberts, IL and Robert (Maricella) Ready of Chicago, IL; four adoring granddaughters – Isabella, Samantha, Eileen and Lillian; loving siblings – Mary Jo (Thomas) Mack, Jane (Frank) Savastano, Nancy Dickerson, Carol (Paul) Rezmer, Patricia (Thomas) Cronin, John (Maureen) Ready and Paul (Jill) Ready; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brothers – Jerome, Robert and Richard. James was a life-long lover of Grand Beach, MI and golf. His profession was a mason, having worked for the city of Chicago over 30 years. A service celebrating his life will take place at the Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn, IL on Monday, Nov. 6, at 11:00 A.M. (CST). Visitation with the family is on Sunday, Nov. 5, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. (CST) at the funeral home.
