Glenda Sue Kanger

Glenda Sue Kanger, 75, of New Buffalo, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 in South Bend, IN. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel in New Buffalo. Glenda was born on December 5, 1942 in Truman, AR to the late Paul and Ruby (Brooks) McLemore. She was a 1959 graduate of Elston High School in Michigan City, IN. On July 21, 1962 in New Buffalo she married Stanley William Kanger, Jr.; he preceded her in death on January 19, 2009. Glenda loved to play bingo, watch old movies, watch the Chicago Cubs, play slots and dice, shop, listening to Elvis and spending time with her friends. Glenda is survived by a son – Michael (Gina) Kanger of Three Oaks, MI and a daughter – Jodi (Jason) Shelley of Sunnyvale, CA; six grandchildren; and a brother – Jerry (Darlene) McLemore of Vincennes, IN. Also preceding her in death is a brother – Kenneth McLemore. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, March 25 from 1:00-2:00P.M. at Hamilton Grove Assisted Living Community, New Carlisle, IN, in the chapel.
