Mary Jacquez

Mary Vivian Jacquez , 75 of Buchanan, Michigan died Wednesday July 13th at Caretel Inn of Saint Joseph, Michigan after a long illness.Mary was born October 4, 1935 in Grafton, West Virginia to the late Walter and Bernice Wood. On February 4, 1955 in Oakland, Maryland, she married Herman Jacquez, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters – Denise M. (Andrew) Bachleda of Bridgman, MI and Susan M. (Robert) Dean of Green Bay, WI; three son's – Frank W. (Jonnie) Jacquez of Willow Springs, NC, David M. Jacquez of Edwardsburg, MI and Craig S. (Wendy) Jacquez of Defiance, MO; twelve grandchildren; two sisters – Alice (Darrell) Conaway of Fairmont, WV and Linda (Dick) Fike of Clarence, NY; Brothers Donald (Alice Marie) Wood, Grafton, WV and Bernard (Patty) Wood of Xenia, OH; and sister-in-law Mary Wood of Grafton, WV. Two brothers John and Robert Wood preceded her in death. Mary was a member of First United Methodist Church in Buchanan where she was a member of the United Methodist Women's Association and was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was also a member of the Buchanan Garden Club, Buchanan Quilt Club and The American Legion Auxiliary. She attended Fairmont State College in WV. Visitation will be Sunday, July 17th from 4-8 p.m. at Swem Chapel. Services will be Monday the 18th at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church. Pastor Rob McPherson will be officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Buchanan. Memorial Contributions may be made to the United Methodist Women c/o First United Methodist Church, 132 S.
