NILES-Guy Anthony Blair, 52, of Niles, formerly of Olathe, Kansas died Friday, April 17, 2009, in his home, of natural causes. He was born on October 7, 1956 in Lebanon, IN to the late Earl Davis and Rita C. (Gibbs) Blair. On October 17, 1998 he and wife Charlotte were married in Olathe, KS. Guy served in the US Marines for four years followed by the Army Reserves for three years. In May of 2005, Guy moved from Olathe, KS to the Niles-Buchanan area. He was employed at General Sheet Metal Works, Inc. in South Bend, IN for the last 3 years. He was a former member of the American Legions Posts in Olathe and Buchanan. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Blair of Buchanan; daughters, Jennifer Martell, Sarah (Tom) Johnson , Ruth Ann Blair, all of Kansas; son, Earl Blair of Kansas; step daughters, Kathy Wald of Circleville, OH and Tammy Bradbury of Canal Winchester, OH; stepson, David Bradbury of Buchanan; sisters, Helen (John) Scotten of Avon, IN, Pam (Bill) Armstrong of Lady Lake, FL, Mary Jo (Mark) Vickery of Plainfield, IN; brothers, Eddie (Vi) Blair of Richland, WA and David (Debbie) Blair of Blue Springs, MO; and grandchildren, Winnette, David, Chloe, Caleb, Grace, Luke, Rebekah and Devin. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be Friday, April 24 at the Swem Funeral Home in Buchanan at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Pat Ramsden of the First Presbyterian Church, Buchanan will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at Home, Inc., 4025 Health Park Lane, St. Joseph, MI 49085.
